Hiya, Nirvan! Thank you so much for stopping by; the gallery, and myself, are honured to have a visit from such a talented artist.
I had a look through the gallery; some outstanding work in there, man. Your talent for digital painting is seriously well developed; you're at a level that i don't think i'll ever reach.
Plus, you like Street Fighter IV! What's it like to be artistically skilled and have fine taste in videogames?

Thank you so much for your very nice comments. Although being my own worst critic i don't think i'm outstanding. I'm always trying to imrpove my digital painting, and am about to go into Uni to do Animation, so i need to improve alot of things. (Sure you weren't browsing my favourites page haha)
Yes, big fan of SFIV! Play a bit of everyone, but prefer Abel, Cammy, Balrog and M.Bison. What about you?

a) You're welcome! I think you have a lot of talent for digital painting, and you've clearly put a lot of time and effort into working with the techniques you use. I don't know whether you've heard of it, but there's a UK magazine called Imagine FX, which is a very useful resource for people like yourself interested in digital painting; there's also an accompanying forum, which i think would be very receptive to someone with your skill.
As for studying animation at uni, i think the industry could really do with someone like yourself. You clearly have fine taste in animation (i read your journal entry talking about Howl's Moving Castle), which combined with your talent for static art, may possibly be a very interesting combination. Do you have an 'ideal company' that you'd like to work with (e.g. Pixar)?
b) Me too! I'm a huge fan of fighting games (i'm a staff member of a DA fighting games group called Digital Dojo ), and Street Fighter IV in particular. I'm fairly familiar with the whole cast myself, but the main characters i play are Sagat, Balrog, and Blanka.

Thank you again, really. I am trying hard these days to get better and try all different styles. Recently i havn't done any full illustrations but have been speedpaitning various character and vehicle designs.
Yes PIXAR would be great, but i live in London at the moment, so i'd probably start with smaller company maybe doing conceptual designs or storyboarding. In the future i'd like to freelance with my own company working with friends in the industry. It allows for freedom and lets your travel more. Are you a proffesional artist of sort?

a) Artistic development is artistic development, whether full pieces or not! As long as you keep on painting/drawing and working on your style, you're on the right track.
b) Clearly you have a sensible head on your shoulders. Working your way up the ladder is a wise idea; you may well build up contacts and experience as you go that could be very handy when you reach where you want to be.
And no, i'm not a professional artist... at the moment. I've been in reclusion for a long time with mental illness, but i'm looking to re-start my education in September - eventually i want to illustrate professionally, but i'm not entirely sure which field i want to be in just yet.
I think, as long as i'm getting paid to draw, that'd be fab.

Yeah i agree, i'll deffinatley keep at it. Glad to hear you've recovered and it's good to hear you're going back into education. If you go to go to a good school, they'll most likley direct you further. Just remember to keep flexible
Good luck
