I got the long styled anime elf ears, but now I see they sell a 10" "Twilight Elf" ear! Man that's perfect PE style right there! Truly long enough to poke someone's eye out. XD

I'm pretty sure it's a matter of sculpting from clay and then making molds and THEN making a model out of latex. I've had my eye on some ears by ~Lluhnij for a while. She's got a couple of different types like [link] and [link] that she sells in their shop. For most long style ears, it seems they require a wire to keep them rigid, OR they're made or reinforced with foam instead of latex so they're sturdier. Ahah do point me in the right direction if you find some fitting Luse years. I spent a LOONG time searching for them for my Lucy costume!
And yeah I think you're right. Lirilith is probably the only one he'll ever love...finding himself good enough for her is another story, though.
And then there's the chick he was with when the last issue ended. O_o I dunno what's up there.

her ears were quite nice. Id prefer them a little more upright tho.
wire or something similar is probably a necessity yea. Im thinking some very sturdy but light material that can be made very thin, to use for support.
plaster might actually be an option, there are some very hard kinds of plaster (like polyester), wich is perfect since it can be molded into any shape you want. I remeber my teacher saying regular plaster cant be kept entirely airtight since its very porouse but maybe the steadier kinds can. Im gonna see what info I can find on it.
so maybe if you can make a plaster cartilage and the cover it with latex or something. it might just work
or some kind of light plastic. tho that will probably be harder to mold :/
