hehehe, yeah I know I've been quite lucky lately, after camp I got to participate in a raku firing and then I did my first independent firing on wednesday, it was a smoke firing so pretty straight forward but I organised the whole thing so it was quite exciting
I was looking at your stuff yesterday, it's sooo good and really interesting too, I learned about a whole heap of techniques now I can write about them in my journal for ceramics class thanks!!

yeah this one was extra cool because it was kinda cold and it was just me and my friend so it was like a mini bon fire except we roasted clay instead of marshmallows

Ours was funny because they put tin on top and logs on that. I said "It will burn." Everyone else said "No it won't."

So, I took photos of it. Then, when the flames began licking at the logs (the tin was red hot and in some places, black) I took more photos. Then when the logs were fully alight (think bonfire) I took MORE photos.

Finally, someone noticed it and they all came over to rescue the place and asked if I had seen anything?

"Oh yes," I replied happily, "See here on my camera... I have all the before during and now photos."
