In case you didn't understand my previous post, I was wondering how to kill Citadel itself.

Wait, you're the EchoGarrote of Lamia Daughter Quest?! Whoa! I spent several days reading it, and it was worth every second.

How does one kill a sapient landmass, without destroying its body or the denizens within it? How could someone reach into the psychic identity of a living curse, and crush its heart like a rotten grape?

Infamy? I'd say it was a great story. Back when I posted that on your wall, I had just finished going through all of the archived threads of it. Took a while, but I just wanted to say that it was amazing...I dunno. It was an awesome read. AN EXTREMELY LONG READ. But awesome!

Heh, thank you very much for the kind words. It was a very crazy 6 months. I can't really read the whole thing again, myself. I just see all the stuff that I wish I changed, and the parts that did nothing but drag. Did you have a favorite part? Favorite character? I love feedback.

Favourite character? Hmmmm.... I love them all quite a bit. Granny held a special place in my heart as well as Tricia and Ssen's dynamic. Isen was amazing in a way only Isen can be. Lea was great because she was the only character out of the main five that wasn't trying to go beyond what is considered to be natural life... Tricia and Ssen lived for ages, Peri/Mari became something of a legion/lich, Mage lived a few life times (i think it was suggested about two hundred years if you go off twenty year generations). Looking back I'd say Lea was one of the more interesting party members in the fact that she WAS the straight man; she didn't have any massive goals in life other then to live it well.
The Dragon (I think its Old One), was hilarious but definitely not my favourite. I might have to go with the whole Ssai, Ssah and Granny bit we saw. It was heart warming to see Granny basically have hope again after so long. (I mean other then Ssen, breaker of social orders and cities). I don't know if you ever said this but how old WAS Granny? I'm guessing thousands of years perhaps tens of thousands.
Its hard because I like all of them. I mean sure there are some villians who I didn't like but that is suppose to be the point I think? There was that bitch of a female paladin, but honestly she was an interesting way in exploring how a paladin can fall. Peace, Tragedy, and Comedy were great villians. Rage died early on, but he honestly was pretty interesting from what we found out in hindsight.
Favourite part is easy. Kinda. Peace's death when the whole campaign went up in the air because someone got a twenty. Although when the story got real for me was when Tricia killed the Wasp Queen way back in like...the third story arc? That was pretty hardcore. Alternatively the part where Ssen's group is faced with undead family/friends and she just laughs it off like a trooper and rolled made one of the more balls-y moves I had ever seen. (although my DnD5 game last night was pretty balls-y; the rogue was acting drunk in front of a dragon so the dragon cultists didn't figure out he was a spy.)
To be completely honest, I found it through 1d4chan wiki, thought "eh, might as well give it a shot, the concept sounds interesting" Then several days of me just pouring through chapter after chapter. Its sad because after the bit in the north, I have really sketchy memory of like the last 15 chapters. I kinda blazed through them. Shit happened I think people died and a dragon curb stomped some shit because "fuck you, i'm a dragon".
I could go on longer, but got any more specific questions for me before I got into FULL RAMBLE MODE? Also, don't know if you'd be cool with this, but it'd be easier to talk on a actual PM system, per chance do you have skype? (If I'm asking wayyyyyyy too much just say so)

Granny was born before Citadel emerged, and before The Dragon Who Was Of Shadow replaced the Fifth Dramate. So she's pre-t-t-ty old. (I felt so bad having Isen's Turncoat sister kill her, but she really was all but gone by then. Lamia brains go quick when they hit the limit, and Granny was actually WAY past hers. Citadel's magic was keeping her sane, and when the Ghoul attack hit, the magic started to fade.)
Ahh, Peace getting killed or 'That Fucking Crit' as I like to call it. Really, I should have just...well...I dunno. Hindsight has provided me many better options I could have taken. But the story was all about stories going off the rails so...be careful what you write. That's the moral. Also, don't have villains monologue, PCs are trigger happy.
'Shit happened, people died, fuck you I'm a dragon' is the PERFECT way to sum up what happened after the Orc/Ice arc.Β
One of these days (read: Probably never.) I should go clean up that 1d4chan page.Β
Also, I'd love to hear full ramble mode. I don't have skype, but I do have AIM. (I know, I know, but I'm a dinosaur who refuses to change.) My id is colorknightgreen. (Never let your SO pick out AIM names, because she'll make them match. That's THAT moral.) However, I'm also happy talking over this. Whatever works best.
(Also, shameless plug time, if you liked Lamia Daughter Quest, you might be interested in my OTHER quest that I did. Ghostbusters: Japan. It's exactly what it sounds like. You join the newest franchise of Ghostbusters, that's in Japan.Β suptg.thisisnotatrueending.comβ¦
Don't worry. It's shorter.)

"... You have created one of the most feared Penal Realms, and all of you have the ability to end the world, strapped to your backs. All of that, and You. Don't. Know."
...As you can see I'm deep into chapter 4 of your other story. Have NO idea how the combat works, mostly because I only vaguely remember the 2009 game.

"Know this, Gonne-San, this is NOT over!" You snap. "We will train! We will practice! And when the time is ripe, we will bury you and send you to the Paper Football Hell of Shame and Disgrace!"
Yurei gets the Chyme to start playing 'Eye of the Tiger.
...Yurei is my favourite so far.

"Her attitude is 'You're SUPPOSED to be COWERING! You're DOING this WRONG.'"
HAHAHAHahahahahaha niceeeeeeeeeeee

Failed Ballerina? aww sadface at the sad shrine priestess. Sachiko is easily my second favourite character, possibly first, tied with Yurei. To be fair, Sachiko is about as netural good as you can get, and she does archery so consistently well. Although as an archer I have to wonder where she gets her arrows. I would assume she is using a traditional Yumi (Japanese bow), and she is most likely firing wooden arrows. If she is doing store bought, that is about 15 bucks a pop. At least here, and that is considered pretty cheap. Most likely this is about $20 dollars per arrow, if not more. On the assumption that she creates, or buys the materials in bulk and fletches her own arrows, it'd still cost her like....$7 to $9 bucks an arrow, plus about 15 to 20 minutes of labour to Fletch each arrow. Then there is the fact that she is obviously not using field tips, else they wouldn't be able to get wedged into any kind of thing. Hell they are almost flat. Which means she has to be using some pretty nasty tips on them. Which costs about five bucks a pop?
Unless she is shooting non-traditional, and is using a compound bow. In that case each arrow, assuming she orders all of the material and assembles them would be about $7 bucks an arrow. (Not that they'd charge at a story to assemble them, non-traditional arrows are basically so modular a monkey could do it.)
So what kind of bow does she shoot, and what is the material of arrow? Daikyu or hankyu? ...I kind of do archery if you can't tell
I'm also laughing at the name she has given the person who is living in her house since its a type of very specific Japanese archery

"You get off the train, and spend some time wandering through the streets, trying to be as low profile as four vampires and three ghostbusters can be."
Words can not describe my excitement levels right now.

Wait... I'm confused. At the start of chapter 14, Akira is smucking about with the other three, when he made it SUPER CLEAR that he wanted nothing to do with this, and the previous chapter made it EXTREMELY clear that he wasn't with the other three. What.

I'm immensely IMMENSELY entertained at the thought of Kali and the old guy sticking around. Maybe Sato can learn some ACTUAL PROVERBS FROM HIM. Also I think you can cover a wall with the fines.
---
"...they comment on Wu Xing, and Humorism"
BUT COMEDY IS DEAD, SSEN AND CO KILLED HER PALE ELVEN ASS... on the other hand... crossover? XD
---
"Alright, then don't help me with Kayako. Help me understand Humors then. What are they? What do they do?" You ask.
Kali looks up from her phone and frowns. "Humors are a European thing. How do they have any basis in an Asian ghost? Are you talking about Wu Xing elements?"
.........oh no.

Wow. Okay. I just really blank on what happens after the Northern excursion. I should re-read this like right now.
I have to say, its funny, the crit that is. I write fanfiction for a series called RWBY if you've ever heard of it, and there is a kind of thing going on in fandom of 'Gamer'. (Your life becomes a video game , yadda yadda). My own take on it was "Your life becomes Dungeons and Dragons, ROLL FOR EVERYTHING". Mind you the difference between Lamia Daughter Quest and this, is that I'm the author without any players... basically just a storyteller. Originally I did all the rolls as...like... actual rolls. The problem is rolling dice at random is a really really horrible/amazing idea. You get crazy shit happening. Around this time was when I found the, "Fucking crit" chapter. Convinced me that a completely random dice rolling system might not be the BEST idea for a very railroaded story (a hilarious one tho)
On that note, what were some story ideas that got derailed like really early on? I have to imagine you had a couple that the players just destroyed. Not as major as the best roll that ever occurred (that was a beautiful nat 20), but I have to figured you had some? I know a guy who did something similar to this for RWBY called RWBYQuest... at one point he had one of the characters pull a Gandalf, where she went to confront the big bad. He had prepared like this massive description of the battle because he figured his players would direct the character to at least try and help. Also keep in mind, he didn't do it through purely text, he does comic strips (really long ones), they might not be the best artwork but they really give it a different feel when you can see what is going on. His players basically went "WOW OKAY SHE TOLD US TO RUN RIGHT? LETS FUCK IN THE OFF DIRECTION OUT OF HERE!" The GM still has dozens of comic strips that will never get shown because his players decided to be like, intelligent (he is super salty about it)
The first time we had a dream sequence I actually thought that the Fifth Dramate was like.... Ssen's dad. I thought so for a long time too. I thought that he had been like "FUCK YOU DEATH IM A PALADIN". That gotten shown to be soooooo wrong. Seriously.
I actually went back and re-read the first ten threads after finishing. I hadn't realized how LONG the later arcs got. Like slowly but surely the story arcs got longer and longer and longer. The was wasp queen arc was only a chapter maybe a chapterΒ and a half. It was short compared to the fuckery of the north. I'm still sad that Orc-Ssen (whose name escapes me but died to destroy the city I think?) is dead. Tisgut! That was his name. Great guy!
Question for ya, but where are dwarf lands? I may of missed this completely but I don't remember you mentioning where dwarves hail from. Humans hail from fucking everywhere, elves from the forests to the south (First woods), dwarves.... I think from the Bronze Peak? I actually don't remember very well.
