Tuli looked across the table to the large man who sat there, Benard was his name, black market trading was his game. βAre ya gonna be movin' lass or should I be maken' your move and ordern' us another round?β He brethed at her, which had the stong smell of pipe weed and linberry ale.
βI can make my own moves, thank you.β She said with amusement as she moved one of her white pebbles two squares to the left, blocking three of his own black pebbles in to a corner.
βI didn't be seein' that move,β he scratched his brown hair that was pulled back in to a pony tail, βhumm, now thats somethin'.β He looked up scanning the smoke filled tavern trying to forget his losing streak to, this girl.
βSo, should I be makin' your move?β Tuli said in a mocking tone, stiffling a giggle.
Just in time ignore her remark he spotted Leza, the tavern wench, βLeza more ale!β he bellowed over the noise of the dinner rush, which quickly hushed out of shock. Leza a slender, light brown haired Owl looked at Benard, and rolled her eyes. But unlike the rest of the bar, Leza was not stuned, and walked gracefully across the room to set down two pints of ale on their table, then walked away to help her paying customers.......
