that is also just an awesome pic!! I love the composition, and how it's layered. Just curious, how did you paint the space part? Like what technique(s) did you use?

Yeah I needed another alien to the mix though I doubt he would be spending time at concerts xD
Thank you! That's what my AP concentration ended up being if you'd like to check the rest of the pieces out.
The space part was a separate sheet of paper with a blue/purple base where I sponged lighter and darker shades on top of it and then flicked a little white paint for the stars.

On a "whim" I decided to order the How to Train your Dragon movies. Just watched the first one with my daughter today.

those are among my favorite animated movies. and i almost never watch animation, so that's not saying much, but still. x'D
They're actually based on a book series!! I read them years before they made the movies, but I think the movies are better; they literally rewrote the entire story when they adapted it. |D So the books are absolutely nothing like the movie haha!

Ohhh man, talk about details!! I never noticed the little stuff like one side of Yami's bangs being higher than the other pfft. But I noticed a couple of the other differences; his hair just appears more aggressive overall haha.
thanks for the explanation! i've actually already finished your sketches (i'll upload them onc i've gotten the last of the four commissions done) but i'll keep these things in mind for the next time you ask me to draw them. (im sure this wont be the last. xD)
