Well, I don't know many fans that like guro/gore AND yaoi, though, I guess, since that.. DMMD craze... dunno, the game has been out for YEARS and now it got popular? never really liked it, my days of playing visual novels is over.
Back then I played Enzaî, sometime in the early 2000nds... without translation, of course, and no japanese language package so all I had was boxes as 'words' so it was always 'hm, do you take the long answer or the short one?' and try to get as much violent pr0n as possible xD Ah.. good times...

But omg yeah i know..it's all because the anime was made i think o__O..which i fell behind in. I never got the chance to play the game at all lol. AAHH!! Enzai! i wanted to play that game too..never finished the anime of it either though XD jeez..so many unfinished yaois and animes. I would have most likely done the same thing though with just taking chances with answers and hope for the hottest and goriest results hehe.

yeah, I mean, and then they spend HUNDREDS OF EUROS AND DOLLARS and whatever other currency on that shit, srsly, I'd rather have a Samsung, at least I don't pay 200+€ just for a bitten apple on my phone...
And the 'But OSX soo supperior to Windows' does not count, because they could just custom build their computers and use Linux on them and still get more power for their money, but that's just my opinion.

You know, there are the old ones, like Kaze to Ki no Uta, Zetsuai, Boku wa konomama kaeranai, Ai no Kusabi (and yes, I do refuse the 2012 version <___<)
Fujimi Orchestra or Fish in the Trap, which, ok the last two might be a bit.. yeah.. but those are no happy happy cutsey cutsey stories. No sparkly sparkly super-shoujo-airhead stories. 
Fine, maybe DMMD doesn't necessarily have happy happy story either, but I have no idea why it just has no appeal for me. Maybe I will check it out, maybe I wont.

The Enzaî Anime is, sorry to say that, ugly <.< It's also the story revolving about the games second ending.
Also the game is more violent.

But to be honest, with all the gameplays out there to watch, why play yourself? It's not like you can level and get items and kill monsters and stuff.

Ohhhhh i havn't heard of most of those yaois except for the Ai no Kusabi, it's ok because they never even finished the 2012 version anyway o__O and wasn't as graphic either. And yyyeeaaahh i didn't see too much violence in the anime of Enzai..was hoping it would have been more violent like the game screen shots i saw lol XD. I know a yaoi that i love a lot is Crimson Spell <3 
But yeah, idk..i never tried searching for any rpg's before. XD

they are not really better for art, I mean... why should they? nothing in their technology suggests so, afaik. It's mainly the program you are using in addition to a good amount of ram and a good tablet, if that's what you go for. But that's probably just my opinion.

Ah, Crimson Spell is a manga, though xD But I like Ayano Yamane, her art style is so beautiful and the details in her images are so great <3 I also like the Viewfinder Series of hers :3
I love rpgs but so far there are only few gay characters I have found in (j)rpgs, and even less playable ones.
The, maybe, most notable ones would be Makoto from Enchanted Arms, who is only playable for a short amount of time in the beginning, though, and Joachim Valentine from the Shadow Hearts Series.

I would never have the patience for art as lovely as hers, especially considering that this is a manga, not just an illustration @_@.
You should read it, it's very very much different from Crimson Spell, though, since it's not a fantasy story at all, but about two rivaling mob businesses and a freelance photographer caught in between.

I am not sure how popular the games are at all. Enchanted Arms is a sort of strategy rpg for xbox 360 and Makoto is THE STEREOTYPE of 'FLAMBOYANTLY TRAPPY GAAAAAAAAAAY'. Like, seriously.. SERIOUSLY (it's really not questionable at all, really). He is super hard into his classmate and childhood friend Toya and after 
an event in the beginning of the game he is believed dead, though, buuut of course he is not and instead turns up as the cool, strong, collected 'mystery man ' and all the girls are like 'OMG *A*' and then, at the end of the game he reverts back to his original self and all the girls are like 'omg TAT D' and it's just so hilarious xD. When questioned about why he basically went split personality he answered something like 'I had to be strong and manly for Toya but that is so against who I am so I had to make up a new peresonality!' It's so hilarious xD

Shadow Hearts is a fantasy-ish sort of rpg series for the ps2 set in our world an while Joachim is present in all games in one form or another, he is only playable in the second game. While seeming like appearing like a dimwitted muscle head ... well.. not 'appearing'.. he IS a dimwitted muscle head xD That he is gay is only (PRETTY STRONGLY) sort of hinted at (and then there is the 'man festival' but let's not talk about that xD) there is only one cutscene where it is completely optional which character you chose for it, where he CLEARLY states that he is gay.. like... clearly ! I just love this game xD

Oh my, he really is all flashy...but pretty! lol...i couldnt see that second picture though, said it was forbidden o3o. It sounds really funny though when he reverts back lol XD i gotta see that. I like his character design though, even for a muscle head, usually really picky with those XD lol. Yeah, I noticed the second one kinda forbids hotlinking... just google it or something xD

The voice acting in the english version is done on purpose, because Joachim is a bit.. er.. delusional.. sorta... dumb... and considers himself a HERO to save the WEAK!
Oh, should I have also mentioned that he's a vampire? Yeah, you can kinda see that when you see scenes with him reeeeeeeeeeeeally up close that he has actually fangs and slit pupils xD His younger brother, who'm you gotta play in the first game, explained back then, that big bro Joachim turned a bit mushy in the brain because he kept using his Vampire Bat form too much xD.
In the japanese version his voice is SHOCKINGLY different... and I mean DIFFERENT... like HIGH PITCHED SCRATCHY different o.O it's kinda weird and kinda fun xD He really is the comic relief character in the game xDDD Also, as a wrestler, he fights with er... weird weapons... you don't have to buy his weapons, you can just find them standing around and then a hilarious dialogue between him and the main chara will follow and then... Joachim just steals whatever it is he finds there... like a locker ... a mailbox .. a frozen tuna ....
Really, between all the seriousness in the game it's hilarious xD

yeah exactly XDD lol love enjoying all the pretty artwork XD....oh my...i have to look up the other voice then lol. But yeah he does seem like the comic relief in this game, does quite a bit of strange things in there...especially with all those things he just take because he can use them as weapons XD lol really weird but funny. But of jeez, i love the reason they give for him not being so bright anymore, petty amazing XDD lol and adorable at the same time....well at least to me it is XD
