The moment I saw Varian, I knew I wanted him to be in the show more often. But, I never expected him to be in the show the ways he's most likely going to be like now! Innocent little Varian to a bitter boy bent of revenge. I hope he goes back to the good side eventually, because he is too special to be lost to the dark side for good! We'll see tomorrow how this revenge plot of his plays out.

i absolutely love the cinnamon roll and I don’t want him to go to the dark side but in the alchemist Returns we see he’s helping Rapunzel and he looks like the same ole varian

I think that's what they want us to think. Why else would Varian call Rapunzel to some sewer like tunnels all alone without having some kind of purpose for her hair. If he invited Cassandra and Eugene with her, they would be able to prevent Varian from doing something. If he's under the influence of the moon tonic, then the effects could last weeks without the cure. He most likely was able to get himself under control enough to use his new found dark personality in a more sneaky way. In a way, I hope he does not become evil because I love him the way he really is, but the show would of only placed those little reprise or cliffhangers about him if they had a purpose to change him and will most likely. It's like finding out Stanford Pines is not really Stanford Pines and is building a secret machine to another dimension to free his brother. It's changes all you views on a character, similarly, Varian having a great song and then breaking his heart, before giving him access to a mood changing drug must have some purpose in the plot. I wish we get the same old Varian back, but who knows which Varian we will get until the next episode. Those are just some thoughts.

Yup! I do that people sometimes. I talk alot, so it translates into my writing as well. I can't wait for the next episode. Only 1 Day, 18 Hours, 46 Minutes, and 30 seconds to go! 29 sec, 28 sec, 27 sec . . . . :0 I can't wait for it!

Wow! That's a first for me! Actually being right about something! Now, I just thankful Varian didn't take the potion himself or something. Because I still believe he has a chance to redeem himself. I bet he's going to be at the brink of crossing the invisible line from good and evil, before he realizes that his mother and father would of not wanted him to loose himself or their teachings to save his father. There might be another villain who will take advantage of him, like the Baron or Gothel. Gothel might still be alive somehow because so far, all of Rapunzel's dreams have come true. Which might mean her first dream about Gothel being back might come true as well. If Rapunzel's hair came back, what's to say Gothel didn't come back with it. If she took advantage of Varian during his darkest times, then he might be convinced of doing some crazy, like kidnapping Rapunzel. At a certain point, he'll realize he's being taken advantage of and come back to his sense to save Rapunzel. Though his own life might be in danger as well. Most good characters turned bad to back to good usually sacrifice themselves or get gravely injured saving the hero, so the hero can defeat the bigger or true enemy. Let's hope our Varikins doesn't die, get arrested, or be exiled.

i really want that to happen tho
and it happened before with characters who were once good who turned to evil.. i mean what if Rapunzel said something the same thing what his parents would say to him if he was mischievous or something like that when he was little and that would  stop Varian and change his ways... its a theory lol

Okay about that Gothel theory 
I asked that question on tumblr and someone answered that a little while later and i quote "No one said that ALL of her dreams come true. That was more of her anxiety about feeling trapped taking the face of her known captor."
