I saw Shawn of the dead yesterday.
It made me laugh for the most part, but when he had to kill his step dad and his mom it had me crying, and when he left his friend behind too, but the end brought me tears of joy, Why don't they ever make good zombie movies that produce such emotions?
they're all poised on scaring the shit out of people. and not to say that shawn of the dead didn't scare me, cause it did in some parts but damn, i wish there was more movies like it out there.
and hopefully i didn't spoil it for you just in case you didn't see the movie, which i highly doubt.
Plus, shame on me for seeing it so late..

Shaun of the dead, was (and is) a TRUE zombie movie. I don't care what anybody says. I cried when Ed farted for the last time, then I was happy to see him come back... as a zombie! Perfect ending.
I saw this at least eight times in the theater. Hard to find a good zombie movie, so I made it last!

Hello, Bloody!
I saw your new logo short and decided to pipe in. But for some strange reason, I can't add the comment in deviation proper. So... I guess you're stuck with me here.
In short, i like the snippet. The music also works to its favour. Short, dramatic and to the right effect. The drop of blood that completes the first word is also a great touch. Over all, it's a great start.
Now... to the S.P. regular: I think we have too much space in the (viwers') left hand side. The right hand-side is filled with the logo but the left hand side is relatively empty. The words themselves don't really make up for it. We might consider moving the words just a little over to the left and slightly bigger to make up for this empty space (or... trim it down a little). The next thing is the logo itself. It looks less like rotting flesh but more like... uncooked chicken wings (and please don't tell me it's really uncooked chicen wings...) That being said, it'll probably help if we can darken the logo itself just a little bit and bring up a little big more contrast to send the message right home. This is not the time to play subtleties. You might also want to experiment with the drop that makes up the "Rotting". It doesn't have to be the same size as the other words, right?
As far as making it slightly longer... I like the fade-in effect. If we make the fade-in sequence a little longer and make the image more blurry to start with, I think we might get to the right effect for you.
Some things that are worth a try, at least.

Yeah, the comment section for that video is not working right, fucking sucks... the guts, to which they are supposed to be, didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted. Over all I like it, but it just needs a bit more finessing. And that something that makes you want to see it and go, that looks cool. Thanks for the comment, and sorry you were unable to post it in the right place. Well, hell, there is no such thing as "right place" in my world. Ha!

As usual... good old S.P. is really quite impressed with what you can come up with. But he knows that the only way he can be useful to you is to pick at the piece and hopefully find some loose ends. So he tries... and tries and tries. Hopefully he's been helpful.
(Sorry, but can't find enough time and brain cells left over to do the same for your entry in the T-shirt design contest. Been too busy lately. I wish you good luck, though!)

When it comes to stop motion animating, I had a very cheap, an almost weird, way of doing it. My technique is all in the editing. I would film my actor/actress on a normal DV or HD camera. But would have them move into position every half a second or so. Then in the editing, I would cut the parts of them moving into the position, and just use one single capture of them in their final positions. Then put it all together. It creates a really interesting look.

i work a lot in post process as well, but the way i wanted to do this is more of a walk slowly from point a to point b (which is right in front of the camera)
then have to loop that one with odd facial distortions..
I've got my essentials for this, the DSLR camera, photoshop cs2 and photoshop lightroom.
but yea, i need that remote...
the camera wont run on continuous shots and on time delayed shot at the same time.
In this case i have no good model except myself,
its tiring to make self portraits but what better way to perfect my techniques and not have to wait on anyone else?
