Seriously, it is a very good image. The lighting is fantastic and the posing and camera work are a true tribute to the old movies, just as you suggested. Maybe if the horses were kicking up a little sand from the arena it might be perfect, but it doesn't detract from the image not to have it, and I'd have to nitpick to even notice that.
