I remember going into a store called El Cartel in Vancouver, and browsing through, I was only window shopping as I was living paycheck to paycheck and it was just about the tightest time of the month for me. As I walked over to a glass case my eye fell on a chunky, gypsy style 925 Sterling Silver bracelet with charms.I asked the worker if I could see it and he took it from the glass case.
It was heavy, solid silver and it draped over my hand like delicate armor. I put the bracelet on and felt the weight and admired the solid links shining and reflecting the world around me.
I bought this bracelet, I used the last of two credit cards, cash, debit (which failed) and coins from the bottom of my bag. I didn't have any idea how I was going to survive until my next paycheck but I knew it would work out.
I still have this bracelet and I will have it and love forever, I will pass it down to my children.
I make pieces like this, but I make them as affordable as I possibly can because I want people to have solid silver, handmade treasures that are good quality and provoke love.
