Umm, well, master your ball/cylinder patterns. That's always important. I always work in 5's even though I see most patterns written in 6's. But I find 5 is a much easier number to work with/multiply.

Like, you start off with a magic circle of 5 sc. Then inc in each one, so 10, then 15, 20 and so forth.

Ah right i see. I know what you mean now, the patterns i've seen do say 6. I'm bad enough at mathes ha ha.

Yeah, I haven't noticed that using 5's affects the work negatively, so it's more nice, counting in 5's.
