Thank you so very much. I still check the site frequently, I just have a very busy life now with no where near as much time to do art as I did duiring the early 2000's. Well, to put a long story short, in the last year I got myself 3 jobs, bought a house, renovated it, moved in, and am getting married in about a fortnight from now... so yeah, busy bee!

God I take forever to reply. Anyways, Happy New Years and congrats to everything that's happened. Things have been crazy on my end but enjoyably crazy. Got my first apartment

I know what it's like to work twelve hour shifts. I had a good job up until July of 2014. Then I had two seizures three hours apart and that shot my world all to hell. Was off for six months under doctor's care until I was cleared to return to work. The doc's didn't know what caused it, but I think it was the result of sleep apnea which they found out after I went to a sleep therapist. 👍: 0 ⏩: 0
My company wouldn't take me back, and that was after working for them for six years and the senior people above me in the control shop left to go to work somewhere else with better pay and work conditions. Had tried to find work for months until I decided to take early retirement in June of last year (I'm 62). Tried two other jobs since then. One I was let go from as I needed a commercial driver's license, but my prior condition prevented me from getting one. The next job lasted a month. I was working as a temp to hire type in a plastics factory. But the heat, the dryness and the plastic fumes made me sick enough that I had to leave a couple of times. They told me to turn in my badge.
But now you have something good under your belt: A good job and you're engaged. I've got 28 years of marriage myself and two fine sons. I just want to get back to work to keep myself busy and make a little extra to help cover two small pensions and my Social Security stipends. But I got my writing to help me along, with a story I'm putting together for publishing. Don't care how much it brings in as long as I can get others to read and enjoy.
