# About me

Hello, my name is David, I typically do "traditional" art this is where I started as an artist and this is where I am now. I plan on expanding my horizons to less traditional realms of art and design. I just finished a life changing year of school and art classes and have completeed many works over the course of this year, 2012-2013.

Dear ContempPainter thank you so much for your interesting thought
somehow you caught a point that let me a little unsatisfied in this panting

this is a remake of my first mermaid painting and my most successful artwork jet: [link]
Many ask me to buy a new original so I decided to paint it again after 8 year
with my new skill.
My initial project was to use open background style that I'm currenlty trying
in paintings like this: [link] [link] inspired to me by the paintings of Vanessa Arrighi: [link]
but as I try to render all the sophisticated light diffraction of the original photo I fall back in the smooth color nuance.
I think I will try it again in the future !

Certainly a great painting deserves a critique. If I had the money I would atleast buy a print of this piece (and many others), and perhaps I will in the future. As for your other paintings and Vanessa Arrighi, I do very much enjoy that style as much as I do the smooth one, personally I feel that you are likely going to find some sort of balance between the two styles. I hope I didn't discourage your current direction Marcobusoni, I just feel something more would set you apart as a painter. I hope I was of some encouragement and help.

Your critique is a great help to see more clearly in what I do
and where I'm going,
as painters we do so much by instinct that is often hard to see it
thank you very much!
