Do you think you'll ever draw more KP stuff? It's really good!

I love your work. What programs/tools do you use? What would you suggest a teen on a very limited budget to use? (Preferably anything free, but good.)

Thank you! for computer programs, I started out using MSPaint- obviously its pretty primative and not the best, but it can be fun.
A good cheap/free one is GIMP. I've used it a little and it has a lot more features than Paint does.
The best tool of course is pencil and paper! sometimes sketching in a colored pencil (like blue) is good but just draw draw draw and have fun!

I tried using GIMP on my Vista laptop, but it always would have problems with "..not responding" whenever I tried to do anything.
But how do you get the nice crisp lines, like they use on the KP show? Do you use a tablet?

for those I use MSpaint, I make a really huge resolution scan of my sketch and trace over it with the curved line tool- I thought I had a how-to in my gallery but I'm not sure it may be gone-

Recap on GIMP... I redownloaded it, and it works fine. It's just really cumbersome to color in everything with a paintbrush. (It took me HOURS to get it only like halfway colored, and that's not even the outliner lines). It won't work with the bucket tool for some reason. Probably because of the texture that shows in the scanned images. (you can probably see in my uploaded KP sketch on here). But that curved line tool thing in MSPaint sounds like a really good idea. I'll try it next time.

Big Grunty 'Hi!'
Hey, is your avatar a parody of the cover of Green Day's 'American Idiot' album?
π: 0 β©: 1
CarbonF In reply to Da--Master [2007-02-20 14:18:23 +0000 UTC]
ha! never thought about that, nope, it's actually from a scene in KP.

Da--Master In reply to CarbonF [2007-02-21 03:21:07 +0000 UTC]
Ah, well, I could tell it was KP related, but I didn't recognize it from the show, so I just assumed that's what it was. (And then that would mean that Bundycoot and I wouldn't be the only ones who've parodied album covers KP style.)
So then which episode is it from?

Oh, yeah, I remember now; Ron checking Kim's phone history. Thanks.
It looked like a crushed Kimmunicator at first, so that's why I thought it was a parody.
