Can I ask you a question that has to do with Suyin Beifong?

LoK Book Four AU Question: If Suyin had just let Korra handle things, as oppose to trying to kill Kuvira at night (which ended with her and her two sons getting captured), how would things go if Korra and Kuvira chat again in the morning and working things out?
Bonus "What if" question: What would happen if the same scenario were to occur, but Kuvira decided to go with Korra that morning?

Hi Frostbite883! I apologize for the delayed response, as I have been busy the past few days. As regards to your first question, if Suyin did not try to kill Kuvira at night, I suspect the negotiations would have begun more smoothly. However, both Kuvira and Korra have stubborn personalities, and each believes that they are making the right choice. Plus, Korra is not the most patient person, nor is she the best negotiator. Therefore, I think a confrontation was inevitable, and that Korra would lose in a one-on-one fight due to her weakened state. Additionally, if Suyin had continued resisting, she, her sons, and the airbenders would not have been able to hold out for long. They were seriously outnumbered and outgunned, and many of Zaofu's own former security forces had joined Kuvira and would presumably know the ins and outs of the city.
If Suyin and her sons fled the city and avoided capture, things may have turned out very differently. Team Avatar may never have discovered the spirit cannon, and may have lost Republic City. In turn, this may even have prompted another global war.
For your second question, do you mean that Kuvira agreed with Korra and stood down her army?
