i was yeah ;w;
sadly im not sure if i can handle being stung if i dealt with them
plus my mom is deathly allergic, so its a little out of the window
im looking for alternatives though, like attempting to find a bee feeder to help bees out that pass by ;o;

Oh noo. Yeah, best to keep those bees at a distance, then!
& that sounds really sweet of you! I've heard of putting bee-friendly flowers around, but I should definitely look into water feeders, too!
I really love seeing those fat lil bumble bees wandering around :')) I love bugs...

i would if we werent going through a terrible drought here in canada ;;;;;
ill find out eventually though!!!
its funny though, its irrelevant but when we were out camping, we were visited by so many honeybees
i left out a cup of iced tea for them to drink, they loved it ;;

Oh nooo :<
Oh my goodness, that must've been fun! Hope you had a good time camping, it's nice to get away once in a while.
Ahh and that's a really cute visual! Having bees all over that tea :3
Reminds me of the time I spilt a bit of a blue Hawaiian, and this one ant kept coming back to it (unless it was a different ant each time?? we just don't know)

i wanted 2 ask, because you seem really skilled in composition and color, if you had any tips for painting?
to be more specific, is there any places youd recommend that helped you understand composition and choosing appealing colors that contrasted and complimented well?
i really love your stuff! i rarely see someone who uses color so well

Sure! For painting (or color I should say) here's some good tips:
>Don't shade with black. Most of the time, this makes the image look flat or dead. Instead, mixing complementaries can create darks that have life in them, and they can tone down the original color as well.
>Clarity over color!! Make sure an image is clear even if no color is present (desaturating it on an art program of your choice is great for this one.)
>Gather up images. This one's more in general, but save up pictures you like! You can see what you like about a piece, and try to emulate it. I have a color tag over on tumblr: beachpie.tumblr.com/tagged/col… and just looking at it fills me with joy :') Doing color studies is also very helpful!
>Local color is important!!! www.artinstructionblog.com/wp-… The environment has a big effect on the colors within it. Grass doesn't always have to be green (this was such a big revelation to me when I found out about local color, haha.)
> Mess around!! (the most important rule, haha.) With digital art, at least, it is very easy to play around with saturation, layer modes, etc. Mess around with finished (or current) pieces to see how things change.
I just read James Gurney's Color and Light, and it was great! And this tutorial:www.deviantart.com/browse/all/… is what first made the color lightbulb go off for me, so I definitely recommend it!!
Composition is very intuitive for me, so here's some words by people that know what they're doing:
Loomis is stellar: beachpie.tumblr.com/post/88378…
All of his books are great (and they're online! I definitely recommend.)
This one has some nudity, jsyk: beachpie.tumblr.com/post/87209…
Comics: beachpie.tumblr.com/post/65706…
& here's some tips I've gathered over the years:
>Know what you want the audience to look at, then bring focus to it!
>Lead the viewer's eye around the picture with shape and line.
>Take note of movie/TV shots. A good study is to do quick compositional sketches of said shots.
Thanks for asking, I hope this helps!
