My mom can copy cartoons to an extent, but that's about as much as she will try. heheh I've tried teaching her before, but she absolutely insists that she can't do anything but copy, so she doesn't even try anything else.

yeah but unlike most people i don't NEED a "bonding activity" my mom respects me as a person and trusts me to make the right decisions for me as a point
she said she's fine with my trying drugs or alcoholic she gave me the information so i can decide on my own BUT she only requested if i were to try drugs that i do it with someone i trust to call 911 if something goes wrong (some people have baaad reactons) and personally i decided on my own not to have the stuff simple because it wasn't a taboo and i didn't like the thoght of being a drunk loony unable to control my actions

Haha. I'm not sure I could be that laid back if I ever have kids. I worry too much. And I also have family members who are druggies, so my view of the stuff is nothing but negative.
But it's really nice that you and your mom have a pleasant relationship.

ahahahahaha trust me she's not "laid back" she just treats me like ... you know ... ahuman being XD most people go by the whole "children are meant to be seen not heard" but when i actually approch her when i'm feeling somethings wrong she listens
she cares but not to the "gooy gooy don't get a single scratch on you " extream she trusts me that's all and i feel amazing for that

I believe parents can be that way without saying it's "okay" to do certain things. If someone really wanted to do drugs, they would whether you support it or not. And saying that if they do, they should at least do it in a safe environment is no exception to that. Just because you say it, doesn't mean they'll obey.
So, just like your mother is being honest with you, I will be honest to whatever children I have and tell them that I don't want them to try drugs at all, because I've personally seen how it can ruin people.
To me that's the same as saying "if you're going to go on a self-cutting spree, at least do it with someone who will take you to the hospital if you cut too deep and bleed out". Why would I want anyone to do that at all? I will be completely honest about it.

I don't believe there is any right or wrong way to be a parent (aside from being completely abusive). Young children take in most of what older people say to them and trust that. But as they grow up (into teenagers) they begin to make their own choices about serious matters. From what I've seen, though, teenagers still have a problem with thinking in the long-term perspective. Their view of long-term results are completely skewed, if they even consider them at all. (Granted I'm talking about in most cases, not all.) So, they WILL make mistakes. And they WILL make BIG mistakes at times. As you said, they're only human. To expect them to be perfect and always make the right choices is unrealistic. But at that age, you really can't make most of their choices for them (many of them will happen while you're not even there), so you really just have to hope for the best.
But anyway, I'm rambling...to what point? I'm not sure anymore...

XD jus to let ya know my mom is very much the "crazy type" (to "normal" people at least ) yet level headed and frankly the smartest person i know

she tends to throw parties and allows people to do drugs OCCASIONALLY so frankly i've seen the effects near me and mainly they act like children and throw tantrums (at least my experience XD ) mainly the reason i decided not to do drugs or drink is because i wasn't just going off my moms word i can observe myself and such

( oh also about the parties no worries it's not the rave types it's more like an icecream social for freaks XD she calls them "stone soup salons" pretty much everyone brings something for a soup and a side dish thing if they feel like it they all eat do a presentation of art or writ=ing they've finished or have been working on if it's a "fightclub salon" (which is really fun) they play games after presentations
and after all of those they sit down relax talk and have a drink or two before going home it's actually far more of an intelegent party i feel it's also a great environment to test my new jokes i develop and also make some and no worries it appears i've rambled as well XD )

I'm sorry, no . As the post says, I was only taking 29 requests to be done in February. All 29 spaces have been filled.
You can, however, keep a lookout for offers I may have in the future. But I doubt I will be taking free requests very often.
