Okay, itβs not really a hobby. Itβs more of a side gig. But once my glockenspiel career takes off, I am done with all that personally satisfying drudgery and its life changing experiences. I mean who really wants the hassle of saving lives and being a hero? Not me, thatβs for sure. Give me the wide open roads, the adoring fans, questionable groupies, a soulless corporate sell out, meaningless promotional feuds and of course, the real reason for taking up an instrument, the free food. Yep. That is what I call living the dream. And Iβm so close too. I just need to learn how to play, find just the right bandmates who are willing to ride my coattails to the top before stabbing me in the back to support their rampant decorative soap addiction, and of course a manager so devious and underhanded that by the time my career is over I wonβt have two buttons to rub together. So Iβm practically there already. I figure another week and thereβll be billboards with my face on it, just you wait and see.

I think Iβve inadvertently stumbled onto the perfect excuse for anything and itβs for science! Doesnβt matter what you do, if you add βitβs for science!β on the end, people have to accept your actions, because itβs for science! Caught cheating on your SO, but babe, itβs for science! Late on your taxes, please Mr IRS, I did it for science! If someone discovers your penchant for dressing homeless geese in miniature Gucci tuxedos, to them I say, it was for SCIENCE! Works for any occasion, and for all ages. The only instance where I think the excuse falls apart is if for some reason you managed to bio-engineer a species of hyper intelligent elephants that effectively conquers the universe so as to subjugate the mice population of Eastern Papua New Guinea. If you used the science excuse under those circumstance people are probably going to call bullpucky.
