Well, there's the Diocletian's Palace of course - 1700 years old. It's the actual city center, so you cannot miss it . Inside you can find st.Duje cathedral, temple of Jupiter, roman forum "Peristil", the cellars under the palace...Also in the city center is the Grgur Ninski statue (at the north gate of Diocletian's palace), another city wall (from 16th century) together with Gripe castle.
South wall of the Palace is looking over the Riva (seaside). There's lots of other things in the center...There are half a dozed museums, usually free or quite low-cost
Then there's Marjan hill, a nice pine tree forest with a great view over the city.
If you like sports, you can check out the beautiful Poljud stadium.
If you like beaches, there are a couple sand ones just east of harbour, and some really nice ones under the southern slopes of Marjan.
If you're not planning to visit the islands, maybe you should think about that - BraΔ is closest, Hvar is fashionable, Vis is "alternative", Lastovo wild...
If you like history, you can check out Salona ruins (really nice, but in poor conditions) and Klis castle, as well as old towns of Trogir and OmiΕ‘ (30 km west and east, respectively).
Hope that's enough ))

THE ART CHAIN
(originally started by =RayFalling )
cycle: 1
What is the art chain?
-The art chain is a small chain of artworks that we think the world should see. This is how it works:
*I add a link to the artwork I made which I want the people to see.
*I then copy/paste this to 3 other people.
*The 3 people should definatly check out the links and comment/fav or just look at it.
*After doing so, you may add a link to your piece you want the world to see and put it under the previous link. And send this to 3 new people.
*NOTE that you can't just copy/paste this or the word [link] will just appear...So that means you must put some effort in this and copy/paste the url of all the previous pictures in this.
*The maximum chain is allowed to be 5 pictures...the 6th person should start a new chain with his/her picture up first
and add 1 to the "cycle count" on top...so we can see how many times this was done n_n.
Good luck, have fun, and spread the Art Chain:
